Sti. was established.<br \/>\n<\/strong>The company started to provide services with various bulk and packaged products, primarily solvents, to different sectors in Turkey, where chemical raw materials were utilized.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-panel panel-default panel-a51afe7045e916e0a fusion-toggle-has-divider\"><div class=\"panel-heading\"><h4 class=\"panel-title toggle\" id=\"toggle_a51afe7045e916e0a\"><a aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"a51afe7045e916e0a\" role=\"button\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#accordion-1011-1\" data-target=\"#a51afe7045e916e0a\" href=\"#a51afe7045e916e0a\"><span class=\"fusion-toggle-icon-wrapper\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><i class=\"fa-fusion-box active-icon fa-angle-down fas\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><i class=\"fa-fusion-box inactive-icon fa-angle-right fas\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><span class=\"fusion-toggle-heading\">1990-1999<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div><div id=\"a51afe7045e916e0a\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse \" aria-labelledby=\"toggle_a51afe7045e916e0a\"><div class=\"panel-body toggle-content fusion-clearfix\">\n<p><strong>1990<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Aktas Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. was established.<br \/>\n<\/strong>It was established for the purpose of providing regular and constant services and developing on packaged products in addition to all available products that Aktas Dis Ticaret Ltd. \u015eti had been offering.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>1993<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Aktas Mumessillik Ticaret A.S. was established.<br \/>\n<\/strong>It was established to conduct marketing operations in Turkey for the products of ICI &#8211; Imperial Chemicals Industries, UK, which in fact operates today under Inovyn, Mexichem, Lucite International\/Mitsubishi Rayon (MRC) and Ineos.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>1995<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Agency and distributorship agreements were signed with manufacturers in ICI Group.<br \/>\n<\/strong>Chlorinated solvents, refrigeration gasses and surface-active materials were added to the product portfolio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A distributorship agreement was signed with Union Carbide.<br \/>\n<\/strong>Glycols, glycol ethers, esters and amines were added to the product portfolio.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>1998<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Ekin Kimya Ltd. Sti. joined Aktas<\/strong><br \/>\nEkin Kimya Ltd. Sti (founded in 1995) was acquired by the company for the purpose of serving diversified sectors including pharmaceutical chemicals, food chemicals, fuel additive materials, laboratory and analysis chemicals, which were not present in Aktas portfolio at that time.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>1999<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Aktas Tank Terminal started operations.<br \/>\n<\/strong>Bulk chemicals, that the group was supplying with vessels, began to be stored at Aktas Tank Terminal in Derince-Izmit.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-panel panel-default panel-d7e553793820cb8be fusion-toggle-has-divider\"><div class=\"panel-heading\"><h4 class=\"panel-title toggle\" id=\"toggle_d7e553793820cb8be\"><a aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"d7e553793820cb8be\" role=\"button\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#accordion-1011-1\" data-target=\"#d7e553793820cb8be\" href=\"#d7e553793820cb8be\"><span class=\"fusion-toggle-icon-wrapper\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><i class=\"fa-fusion-box active-icon fa-angle-down fas\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><i class=\"fa-fusion-box inactive-icon fa-angle-right fas\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><span class=\"fusion-toggle-heading\">2000-2009<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div><div id=\"d7e553793820cb8be\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse \" aria-labelledby=\"toggle_d7e553793820cb8be\"><div class=\"panel-body toggle-content fusion-clearfix\">\n<p><strong>2000<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>A distributorship agreement was signed with Dow Chemical Company (DOW).<\/strong><br \/>\nAfter Union Carbide had been acquired by Dow Chemical, the current product portfolio of Union Carbide and the new products of Dow Chemical began to be marketed by Aktas Dis Ticaret Ltd. Sti.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ak-tas Dis Tic. A.S. was established.<\/strong><br \/>\nAk-tas Dis Ticaret A.S. was founded by consolidating previous companies of Ak-tas Dis Tic. Ltd. Sti., Ak-tas Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. and Ak-tas Mumessillik Ticaret A.S.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>2001<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>The distribution began in Turkey of acetone and phenol products from the petrochemical facilities of CEPSA \/ ERTISA by means of JLM (US).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The distribution to Turkish markets began for toluene, styrene monomers, MEG, DEG and amines from the petrochemical facilities of LUKOIL, Bourgas\/Bulgaria.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>2003<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Products from the Rompetrol refinery began to be marketed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>2008<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>A distributorship agreement was completed with Borealis Group.<\/strong><br toggle-content fusion-clearfix\">\n<p><strong>2010<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>The storage capacity of Ak-tas Tank Terminal was expanded.<br \/>\n<\/strong>By increasing the capacity of the terminal, faster, safer, more regular and more voluminous services began to be provided to customers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WhiteChem S.A. was established.<\/strong><br \/>\nWhiteChem S.A. was founded in Geneva, Switzerland, in order to develop commercial operations, to increase product diversity and to create new sources for the Group.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>2011<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Versalis (Eni) products (toluene and xylene) began to be distributed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>T Dinamik Enerji Sanayi ve Dis Ticaret A.S. was established.<br \/>\n<\/strong>The company was founded as an Ak-tas subsidiary to invest in renewable energy, primarily solar and wind.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>2012<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Operations began at GEBKIM.<br \/>\n<\/strong>Operations began in Gebze Organized Industrial Zone for chemical production, storage, and laboratory studies.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>2013<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Tegnatia Enerji Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. was established.<br \/>\n<\/strong>The company began operations under the partnership of T Dinamik and Egnatia Group for the installation of turn-key solar energy projects of domestic and global investors.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Ak-tas Dis Ticaret A.S. started Adana Yumurtal\u0131k Free Trade Zone Branch operations.<br \/>\n<\/strong>The storage facility in Adana Yumurtal\u0131k Free Trade Zone went into service in order to faster serve the southern strip of Turkey in the domestic market as well as MENA countries in the export market.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>2015<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>AKFA Tank Terminal went into operation.<br \/>\n<\/strong>AKFA Tank Terminal, which currently operates in the Chalkida-Avlis region and is one of the largest petrochemical storage facilities in Greece, began chemical raw material storage services for Greece and regional markets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A distributorship agreement was completed with Chevron Belgium NB.<br \/>\n<\/strong>WhiteChem started operations as an authorized distributor of Group II Base Oils from Chevron Belgium NB to Turkey and regional countries, and became one of the 15 hubs worldwide.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>2016<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>A distributorship agreement was completed with Ineos Oxide.<\/strong><br \/>\nMore than 100 products were added to the portfolio.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>2017<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Ak-tas entered Fortune 500 Turkey List with its solo financial results.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>2018<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>At the \u201c2017 Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters\u2019 Association (IKMIB) Export Stars Awards\u201d ceremony, Ak-tas won the second place within the Organic Chemicals Export category.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>On 18th January 2019, Ak-tas celebrated its 30th anniversary.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Acrylic Design Awards 2019 was organized by Lucite International and Ak-tas to celebrate the 26th year of their cooperation and to show this strategic partnership\u2019s commitment to the Turkish market.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sale of Ekin Kimya\u2019s shares to Azelis SA has been completed.<br \/>\n<\/strong>All shares of Ekin Kimya Tic. A.S., a company incorporated in 1995 and operating under Ak-tas Dis Ticaret A.S. since 1998 and which is a leading supplier of pharmaceuticals and food industries in Turkey, were transferred on 16 December 2019 to Azelis SA, a leading global chemical raw material supplier operating in the same industry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All shares of Tegnatia A.S. have been acquired.<br \/>\n<\/strong>Tegnatia was incorporated in 2013 together with the Greece-based Egnatia Group and successfully carries out design, engineering and installation services of power plants that will generate electricity by using solar energy in the field of generation of electricity by using renewable resources that constitutes one of the strategic sectors of Turkey.
