Ak-tas Tank Terminal

  • The tank terminal located in Izmit – Kocaeli region was added to the group in 1999.
  • The terminal has a total area of 10,000 m2 and a total storage capacity of 37.500 m3. There are 44 storage tanks of various sizes. Also, one pier sits at a length of 93 meters in the facility.
  • The tank terminal continues its operations as one of the major chemical storage facilities in Turkey with its high storage capacity, bonded warehouse status, direct contact with the sea, secure pipelines on the pier, International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS) certification, secure automation and measurement systems, and emission control and thermal oxidation systems.
  • There are four fully automated foam-injection, tower-type remote – and joy-stick controlled extinguishing systems in the facility. The storage tanks and filling islands are protected with fully automated and remote-controlled foam systems, and are also kept under constant control of fire and gas detectors.
